Getting Started
Quickstart
Get up and running with DualStream in under 5 minutes.
This guide walks you through your first stream from scratch.
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Visit dualstream.gg and sign up.
- Verify your email.
- Download and install DualStream.
- Open the app and log into your account via Settings → Account.
Step 2: Add Sources to Your Scene
Sources are added using the Toolbar at the bottom of the viewport. Each button opens a different tool:
| Button | What It Adds |
|---|---|
| Text | Custom text overlays with fonts, colors, and effects |
| Media | Images, videos, GIFs, slideshows, and audio files |
| Browser | Web pages, overlays, and interactive widgets |
| Effects | Blur, pixelate, grayscale, and other region-based canvas effects |
| Widgets | Interactive stream widgets (chat, goals, polls, and more) |
| Alerts | Alert overlays for follows, subs, cheers, raids, and more |
Hardware sources (cameras, displays, and audio devices) are listed in the Sources Panel on the left — click a source to add it to your scene.
Once a source is on your canvas, click it to select it, then drag to reposition or resize it. The Inspector Panel on the right shows all properties for the selected source.
Step 3: Connect Your Platforms
- Click the stream button (play icon) in the Toolbar.
- The Stream Setup panel opens — select your platform (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or Custom RTMP).
- Log in or paste your stream key.
- Repeat for any additional platforms.
Step 4: Go Live
- Click Go Live in the Stream Setup panel.
- DualStream activates your outputs and you're live.
That's it — you're streaming.
Next Steps
- Apply visual effects like shadow, glow, blur, and chroma key
