Connect your YouTube account and configure your stream.

DualStream integrates natively with YouTube Live — connect your channel and manage your stream directly from the app.

Connecting Your Account

  1. Click the Play button in the Toolbar to open the Stream Setup modal.
  2. Click Connect next to YouTube.
  3. Sign in with your Google account.
  4. Authorize DualStream.

Your YouTube channel is now linked. DualStream can create and manage live broadcasts on your behalf.

Going Live on YouTube

  1. Open the Stream Setup modal (Play button).
  2. Select YouTube as an output.
  3. Set your stream title, description, and privacy (Public, Unlisted, or Private).
  4. Choose your canvas — horizontal (16:9) for standard YouTube, vertical (9:16) for YouTube Shorts/mobile.
  5. Click Go Live.

Chat & Events

YouTube Live chat and Super Chats are supported through DualStream's Chatter Box widget and Alert system. Memberships and Super Chats trigger alerts automatically.

FAQ

YouTube says I need to enable live streaming first.

New YouTube channels need to enable live streaming and wait 24 hours before going live. This is a YouTube requirement, not a DualStream limitation.

Can I stream to YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Send your vertical (9:16) canvas to YouTube for a mobile-optimized stream.

My stream has high latency on YouTube.

YouTube's "Ultra Low Latency" mode reduces delay but may lower quality. This is configured on YouTube's side, not in DualStream.
