Multistreaming

Stream to multiple platforms simultaneously from a single session.

DualStream can push your stream to multiple platforms at the same time — no third-party restreaming service required. Your stream goes directly from your machine to each platform.

How It Works

In the Stream Setup modal, you can enable multiple platform outputs. Each platform gets its own independent RTMP connection, so there's no middleman degrading quality or adding latency.

Setting Up Multistreaming

  1. Click the Play button in the Toolbar.
  2. In the Stream Setup modal, connect or configure multiple platforms.
  3. For each platform, choose which canvas to send (horizontal, vertical, or both).
  4. Click Go Live.

All selected platforms start receiving your stream simultaneously.

Bandwidth Requirements

Each platform output requires its own upload bandwidth. Multiply your per-stream bitrate by the number of active outputs:

StreamsBitrate EachTotal Upload Needed
26,000 kbps~12,000 kbps
36,000 kbps~18,000 kbps
44,500 kbps~18,000 kbps

Lower the per-stream bitrate if bandwidth is tight.

Platform Fanout

DualStream uses a multi-platform fanout architecture: your video is encoded once per canvas, then distributed to all platforms without re-encoding. This means adding another platform output costs almost zero additional GPU — only extra upload bandwidth.

FAQ

Does multistreaming cost extra?

The number of simultaneous outputs depends on your DualStream plan. Visit dualstream.gg for details.

Will there be delay differences between platforms?

Each platform processes your stream independently. Viewers on different platforms may see your stream with slightly different latency based on the platform's own ingest and delivery pipeline. DualStream sends to all platforms at the same time.

Can I start and stop individual platform outputs independently?

Platform outputs are configured before going live. To change which platforms are active, stop and restart your stream with updated settings.
