Audio Filters

Apply built-in and third-party audio effects to your tracks.

DualStream includes built-in audio filters that can be applied to any audio track, plus support for third-party plugins.

Adding a Filter

  1. Navigate to the audio track.
  2. Click the + icon in the audio filters rack.
  3. Select the filter you want to apply.

Built-in Filters

Voice Clarity

Combines noise suppression with automatic gain control. Removes background noise and keeps your microphone volume consistent.

Suppression strength options:

  • Low
  • Moderate
  • High
  • Very high

Gain

Boost or reduce the volume of an audio track. Click the settings icon to adjust the gain slider.

Compressor

Performs audio ducking — automatically lowers the volume of one track when another is active. Common use case: lower background music when you speak.

Settings:

  • Threshold: Volume level that activates ducking
  • Ratio: How much volume is reduced
  • Attack: How quickly volume fades down
  • Release: How quickly volume fades back up

Stereo Panner

Position audio in the stereo field. Adjust the Pan slider to move audio left (L) or right (R).

Managing Filters

Toggle Bypass

Temporarily disable a filter without deleting it by clicking the green dot on the filter slot, or right-clicking and selecting Toggle Bypass.

Remove

Right-click the filter slot and select Delete to permanently remove it.

Third-Party Plugins

DualStream supports VST3 audio plugins. Add external noise gates, equalizers, compressors, de-essers, and other processing tools:

  1. Click + in the audio filters rack.
  2. Select Third-party plugin.
  3. Browse and select a VST3 plugin installed on your system.

Only VST3 plugins are supported. VST2 and AU plugins are not compatible.
